I have been taking photographs for over 30 years. For much of that time I owned and used professional film-based stills cameras. In recent years I have been an enthusiastic convert to digital technology. In the past I would use various techniques such as photocopying, hand coloring, and darkroom manipulations to the get the effects I wanted. These days I use Photoshop.

I have never actually been that interested in good quality, or traditional compositions. Many of my recent pictures were taken on a very low resolution $15 plastic digital camera with a crap lens. I love out-of-focus, blurring, lack of detail, an image ‘distressed’ to the point of extinction. I like movement, a story, conflict.

Perhaps I ought to stick to cinematography.
