This year I did the whole Burning Man thing rather differently from last time. Previously I have gone for just 4 or 5 days with the same group of friends that I have gone with since 99. Last year however I realised that I wanted to be some how more involved in the whole experience. The Burning Man ticket says ‘Participants Only, No Spectators’. So this year I got involved in a major camp run by a fellow called ‘Koke’. He takes a big rig out to the desert (that’s a large lorry to you Brits) with two of those containers you get on container ships. Our camp is based around these. I spent several weekends down in San Leandro (nr. Oakland) preparing this camp.
