My career as a cinematographer started when I shooting live action for conversion to animation at the television commercials company where I was employed as an editor. This later led to documentaries and music videos, many of which I also directed.

In 1987 I was offered the opportunity of photographing a drama for television. This film: “Breath of Life”, was subsequently nominated for a British Academy (BAFTA) award.

Since then I have shot many narrative films for TV and theatrical release, and in the 90’s I started shooting commercials.

Recent work has included a short that was also nominated for a BAFTA, and a digitally shot feature.
